My child is terrified of the dentist. What actually happens?

Nothing happens on the first visit that your child hasn't agreed to. They choose a cartoon from the menu, the screen goes on, and the dentist explains each instrument before it's used. If that isn't enough, we offer nitrous oxide — laughing gas — a safe, sweet-smelling gas that leaves your child awake but relaxed.

For children who genuinely cannot be treated in a chair, including many children with autism, we do full treatment under general anaesthesia in hospital, so it's finished in one sitting rather than fought over across ten appointments.

From what age do you see children?

Pediatrics covers birth to 18 years, including newborn and premature baby care.

When should my child first see a dentist?

Bring them before anything hurts. A first visit with nothing wrong is how a child learns the chair is harmless, and it means we meet each other before there's a problem to solve.

When should braces be assessed?

Most children can be evaluated by age 7. Early assessment detects alignment issues and lets us plan treatment at the right time rather than the urgent one. Myobraces can be used from as young as 4, and Myochew from 2.

Do you treat children with autism or special needs?

Yes. Our dentists are specifically trained for children with sensory sensitivities and communication differences, using social stories and an ABA-informed approach. Where a child cannot be treated in the chair, we offer nitrous oxide sedation or treatment under general anaesthesia in hospital.

My child has a dental emergency. Can you see us today?

Call 055 931 1752 and tell reception it's an emergency. We're open Sat-Fri, 9AM - 6PM.

Do you bill my insurance directly?

We hold direct billing agreements with the insurers listed on our insurance page, though coverage differs between the pediatric and dental departments. Tell us your insurer when you book and we'll confirm your eligibility before your appointment. Treatment that isn't covered can be split into four payments with Tabby.

What languages does the team speak?

Every doctor at the clinic speaks English and Arabic.
